This Advertising Policy (“Policy”) applies to advertising content and materials (“Ads”) for weapons, weapon-parts, explosives, ammunition, and accessories (collectively, “Weapons”) used in connection with the Viant/Adelphic platform (“Platform”). Weapons Ads must adhere to this Policy and the requirements of inventory and publisher partners, which require your ads to be transparent and lawful. Ads are not allowed for products or services whose primary purpose is violence or causing harm to persons or property, including, but not limited to:

• Knives, guns, ammunition, or integral parts thereof, accessories, or products designed for guns that are positioned as weapons, whose primary use is violence, or are promoted as products used to injure individuals other than for self-defense;
• Militia/military ordinances (including, but not limited to military weaponry, ammunition, related parts, mines, grenades, explosives designed to cause harm to people or property, or similar parts, accessories, or products);
• Other products that are designed to cause harm to persons or property other than for self-defense; and
• Instructional content related to the assembly, enhancement, acquisition, or 3D printing of any product covered under this Policy.

In general, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any agreement you may have in place with Viant/Adelphic or any of our inventory or publisher partners, any Weapons Ads not prohibited by this Policy that are run through the Platform must:

• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Gun Control Act and Federal Trade Commission guidance for the advertising of weapons, ammunition, and related content;
• Be depicted in a manner that is contextually relevant to the product or service promoted and not demonstrated as firing or having been used (e.g., smoke emanating from a gun, blood on a knife);
• Not be designed, intended, or reasonably appear to be attractive to or targeted at individuals under the age of majority for the sale of such products or individuals under the age of 18, whichever is greater (“Minors”);
• Not depict the handling of such products by Minors or in an unsafe manner;
• Not be pointed, directed, or targeted at an individual (whether a person, character, or user/viewer of an ad) or in such a way that appears to intend to cause harm to people or property; and
• Not depict people or property in peril, excessive violence, or Weapons used in a violent or threatening manner.

We will review Weapons Ads on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to reject, suspend, or require modifications to Ads that we believe violate the standards listed above or that are otherwise inappropriate. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any agreement, Viant/Adelphic will not be held liable for any rejection, suspension, or removal of Weapons Ads by Viant or an inventory or publisher partner for failure to comply with their respective advertising policies or guidelines.

By running Weapons Ads through the Platform, you agree to the foregoing and represent that you are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of the Viant/Adelphic customer you represent.
